Star Citizen Referral Code
The Star Citizen referral code is STAR-GCQJ-N6NC. Enter it when you create your free RSI account to tie a 50,000 UEC bonus to that account.

The gold button opens the RSI signup page with the code already filled in. This is a referral link. When you enlist with this code your account gets the full 50,000 UEC bonus; the referrer may earn a small reward too. Your bonus is never reduced.
How to use a Star Citizen referral code
1. Open the link — the code fills in automatically. Use the button above or the RSI enlist page. The Referral Code field already shows STAR-GCQJ-N6NC.
2. Fill in your details and press Enlist Now. Enter your account name, email, password, and date of birth. The Account Name is your public name on RSI, and your pilot name in the game starts as this too. Pick your own name. Do not type the referral code there — the code already sits in its own box. Tick the box to accept the terms. Before you press Enlist Now, check that the referral panel still reads “Referral code successfully applied!”
3. Confirm your email. RSI sends a confirmation message. Your account is not active until you verify it.

4. Add a game package to your cart. A free account holds the bonus, but you need a game package to actually play Star Citizen. The cheapest option, the Citizen Starter Pack, was on sale for $45 (25% off its $60 list price, as of September 2026). Press Checkout. Not ready to buy? Wait for a Free Fly — a limited window when anyone can play free. The next one is expected around IAE in late November, following CIG’s usual pattern. It has not been announced yet.
5. Check out. Add your billing address, then press Proceed to Pay. Sales tax may be added to the total.
6. Download the RSI Launcher and play. Install the RSI Launcher, sign in with your new account, and press Launch Game. Your 50,000 UEC referral bonus is tied to your account.

RSI describes this two ways. The Official RSI Referral Program FAQ says the bonus is added automatically when you register with a personal code — right away if you enter it at signup, or with a delay if you add it later. The Official RSI enlist page itself describes the same UEC as currency you earn after buying a game package.
In plain terms: the bonus is tied to your account the moment you sign up with the code. You need a game package to actually play Star Citizen and spend it. It stays on your account permanently either way.
One note on wording you may see elsewhere: the credits are counted in UEC, the persistent in-game currency you keep through updates — not the balance that resets on a wipe.
Is this legit?
Yes. The referral program is run by Roberts Space Industries itself — it is how the studio rewards players for bringing in friends. Any valid code gives the same 50,000 UEC bonus; this one is mine (Doc_Flanigan).
On the referrer’s side — mine, not yours — a separate “Recruitment Point” reward only unlocks once the person referred spends at least $40 on a game package. That is a reward for the referrer, not a condition on your 50,000 UEC. Official RSI Referral Program FAQ

Any bonus event running right now?
Not at the moment — this page checks daily. During some events, such as Free Fly weeks, RSI adds limited-time rewards on top of the standard bonus. When one is live, it appears here. The 50,000 UEC bonus itself is always available at signup. Event windows are tracked at freeflyevent.com.

Can I add it later?
Only within about twenty-four hours of creating the account, in your account settings, and there may be a delay before it shows up. Not after that window.
Can I change the code once it is applied?
No — a code cannot be swapped after account creation. If you signed up without one and have not bought anything, RSI support can close that account so you can register again with a code.
Is the code still working?
Yes — checked on the live RSI signup page on September 29, 2026, with the “successfully applied” confirmation showing. See the verification log above.
What about promo or coupon codes?
RSI’s program pages describe only the referral bonus. “Discount code” listings on coupon sites have no official RSI source — the referral code is the one that pays.
Does it work during Free Fly?
Yes. The code applies whenever you create an account, event or not. Free Fly lets anyone play free for a limited window; the referral bonus is separate and always available at signup.
Does it apply to Squadron 42?
The code goes on your RSI account, and the 50,000 UEC is spent inside Star Citizen. Squadron 42 is a separate single-player game on the same account, so the bonus does not change the campaign.
